Listen to the Cabaret of Monsters!

Hello all

I'm delighted to announce that the bonus Cabaret of Monsters audiobook, which was one of the Kickstarter stretch goals, has now been completed and a digital download link has been sent to all backers via Backerkit. That means you!

Meanwhile, I've spent the last couple of months shipping out physical copies of the Cabaret of Monsters novella. Most of you should have received yours by now, or else it's on its way (postal times from Tasmania, so variable).

For those of you waiting for the Creature Court trilogy (Power and Majesty, The Shattered City & Reign of Beasts), those books will be ready to send out in November-December along with the final wave of rewards including postcards. Kathleen Jennings is working on the cover art for the trilogy right now, and it's going to be spectacular.

I'm delighted with myself that I just finished the FIFTY SEVEN felt mice I was committed to make as reward. Next step is the crazy quilt book bags for top tier supporters, and then I'll be done with hand-made rewards. Everything's on track.

Digital Rewards All Sewn Up

Thanks everyone for hanging in there as I got to grips with Backerkit's digital download system -- sorry for those who got duplicate emails.

The entire TansyRR Digital Bundle is up now in multiple formats for those eligible to download nine whole ebooks! Cabaret of Monsters is still there if you haven't downloaded it yet, but it's the same file that went up last week, so you don't have to grab it again.

I'm excited to see so many people reading Cabaret already! Don't forget to rate it or mark it as To Read on GoodReads.

I have one more batch of rewards to send out in the June/July pile, which is the signed novella for those who have that listed as one of their rewards. After that, we're waiting on more new artwork so there won't be any more shipments until November when I send out everything else.

Follow up to Digital Rewards

Just to clarify as I've had several queries about this:

Power and Majesty, The Shattered City & Reign of Beasts (AKA the Creature Court trilogy) are not due to be released until November. This includes the ebooks of those titles. The books are still in progress, as is the cover art for those books. They are on schedule.

The digital files/ebooks currently available for backers are Cabaret of Monsters (the prequel novella) and the TansyRR Digital Bundle.

Digital Downloads

Me again! Just to let you know that I launched the Cabaret of Monsters ebook this morning. If this was one of your rewards, you should already have received an email from Backerkit instructing you how to download it. I've offered Kindle, ePub and Pdf as download options. (the Kindle/mobi file link is in a second email because I stuffed up the upload the first time, sorry about that!!!)

Because someone already asked me: Cabaret of Monsters can absolutely be read before the trilogy. It's a self-contained prequel, and I specifically had in mind that many readers would be reading it first. There are a few character-related moments/reveals in the trilogy that would technically be "spoiled" by reading it, but likewise the experience of reading the trilogy first will alter how you read the novella. 

For those familiar with the original: the prequel is set after the early chapters of Power & Majesty, and five months before the events of That Floralia Parade. Velody & Ashiol do not appear in the story.

You do you, readers. There's no prescribed way to enjoy these stories! But if you are hungry to read Cabaret now and you don't want to wait until November-December for the full trilogy, don't hold back.

I'll wait and see how the downloads for the novella go before I start working on the rather epic Digital Bundle to be rolled out to several pledge tiers. Please let me (or Backerkit) know if you have any problems accessing the ebooks.

Look what came in the post today! My proof copy of the Cabaret of Monsters novella. I'm so delighted to have this ready to go. Isn't it pretty??

Also I don't have pics of them yet but I have the PINS done and they look so shiny and spectacular.

So the first wave of shipping is about to start! I thought I should break down for all of you what's happening when. 

REWARDS SHIPPING OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS:

Cabaret of Monsters -- the ebook, the paperbacks and the signed paperbacks. If you ordered this book as part of a pledge or add-on, it's coming to you soon.

TansyRR Digital Bundle -- this will be coming out to you very soon, hopefully before or by this weekend.

REWARDS PARTIALLY SHIPPING OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS:

Some backers will get their enamel pins now -- those who pledged to A Touch of Glamour, those who purchased pins as Add-Ons (paying extra postage), and those who have a signed paperback of Cabaret of Monsters in their pledge rewards. Everyone else will get their enamel pin/s later in the year when the other rewards are finalised, so rewards can be shipped together.

Sorry for making you wait! But believe me, there's a lot of work happening at Tansy Central to get everything else done before the end of the year. I'll be receiving the original art for the trilogy (and the postcards) in September and everything will be all steam ahead from there. And in the mean time... well, there's a lot of mice to be made.

I am SO EXCITED you will all get to read this novella and fall into (or back into, for many of you) the sinister, fashionable world of the Creature Court. It's been such a pleasure to return to these books which are so dear to my heart, and find them some flashy new clothes to wear!

I'll be putting Cabaret of Monsters up for general sale in November (around about the time that backers receive their copies of the trilogy), which means you have five glorious exclusive months to read a novella no one else can get hold of.
